TANZANIA SAFARI AND ZANZIBAR GIRL TRIP - SAMPLE ITINERARY

 

DAY 1 - Arrive to Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Meet & Assist at the airport and after going through Immigration, Baggage Claim and Customs, Transfer to Hotel Arusha in order to overnight on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Day 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing.

Day 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After a short briefing in the morning, you will be taken to the Tarangire National Park. The park with its endless tree savannah including the impressive baobab trees and seasonal marshes is also home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. In addition to elephants you are also likely to spot giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, gnus and other types of antelopes and gazelles. Upon arrival at the park, your guide will open the roof of the vehicle and the extensive wildlife viewing will begin. Lunch will be taken at a picnic spot and in the afternoon you will get to see more of this amazing and beautiful park.

Day 4: NGORONGORO CRATER

Full day on the Crater floor, start early you will spend a full day on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater (caldera), exploring and trying to find the endangered black rhino as well as lion and cheetah.A soda lake attracts water birds, including flamingoes and is a favorite place for predators to make their kill. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro Crater has been called a Garden of Eden.

Day 5-9: ZANZIBAR

After breakfast free time to enjoy. Afternoon we are cathing a flight to Zanzibar
